We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, magnify the page, navigate by keyboard, or need reduced motion.
The standard we build to
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the level referenced by most accessibility regulation in the United States, and it is the target this site was designed and built against rather than tested for afterwards.
What that means in practice here
- Colour contrast is measured, not assumed. Every text and background pairing in our palette was computed, and the combinations that fail are blocked at build time so they cannot reappear.
- Everything works by keyboard. You can reach every link, button, menu and form field with Tab, and the focused element is always visibly outlined.
- The site works with a screen reader. Headings are in order, images that carry meaning have text alternatives, decorative images are hidden from assistive technology, and form fields have real labels.
- Motion respects your settings. If your device requests reduced motion, the home page carousel does not auto-advance and transitions are removed.
- It works at any size. Pages are usable down to a 320-pixel-wide screen and when text is enlarged, without content being cut off or requiring horizontal scrolling.
- The map does not load until you ask it to, which keeps the page fast and avoids a third-party connection you did not request.
Known limitations
- Some documents linked from this site are produced by insurers or government agencies. We do not control their accessibility.
- Our online appointment request form is new. If any part of it is difficult to complete, please call us — we will always take your information by phone, and doing it that way is never a lesser option.
Telling us about a problem
If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it. Tell us what page you were on and what happened, and we will fix it and get back to you.
